The concept for our photo shoot is based around the idea of clothing as a language, we will use clothing to communicate with the viewer. When people wear a particular type of clothing we associate them with certain things and a certain type of person. People use their clothes to express certain things about them for example, status, personality and interests.
We will have 5 different outfits that will all communicate a different message, as part of our idea we will ask people to fill in questionnaires asking them questions about what sort of person would you expect to wear that outfit etc.We will find out what people tend to think about people wearing a particular style of clothing, and what kind of message is expressed when wearing these clothes.
We will photograph both models in a kind of 'straight up' style in the studio wearing the five different outfits.
